This module ready for piloting.
Are our genetics key to the future of modern medicine?

We are entering the age of Personal Genomics, where an individual's genetic information can be used to identify disease risk or inform treatment strategies. Medical professionals can gain access to the genetic information from their patients through techniques like Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). In this module students will be using a hands on wet lab procedure to prepare for NGS sequencing of their own genetic information in relation to lactose metabolism. In addition, students will hear about how precision medicine has changed lives and get a head start on a deep understanding of medical practice of the future.
