Do you know what is living on you?

Microbiomes - the communities of microorganisms that live in a particular environment - can be found everywhere, from the soil and water to our skin and guts. They're as varied as the biomes we're used to seeing in the world around us, but they're a lot harder to study. Recent advances in technology are making it easier for researchers to study microbiomes, and secientists are only just beginning to understand the impact that we have on the makeup of our personal microbiome - and the impact our microbiomes may have on us.
