Rebecca Scheck, Ph.D

Rebecca was born and raised just outside of NYC. As an undergraduate, she attended Columbia University and worked in the lab of Prof. Colin Nuckolls. For her Ph.D., she attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she worked with Prof. Matt Francis. She was then an NIH postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Alanna Schepartz at Yale University. Rebecca joined the Tufts faculty over the summer of 2013.

Sasha Fraser

Sasha grew up in Jamaica. She attended Randolph- (Macon) Woman’s College as an undergraduate, and earned her Masters Degree in Medicinal Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also worked at Albert Einstein College of Medicine before joining us at Tufts.

Kaitlin Chambers

Kaitlin graduated from Salve Regina University in 2014 with her B.S. in Chemistry. Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, she is happy to be back in the Bay State to pursue her PhD in Chemistry at Tufts!

Caitlin Hill

Caitlin is a Massachusetts native. She earned her B.S. in chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2014. Her culinary specialty is mac and cheese.

Nicole Sjoblom

Nicole was born and raised just outside of Burlington, Vermont (and she is a proud Vermonter!) She earned her B.S. in biochemistry, with minor in Spanish, from Stonehill College in 2013. Following graduation, Nicole worked at the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science, within Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Nicole joins the lab from Tufts’ Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, where she is a part of the biochemistry program.

Joseph McEwen

Joey was born and raised in Portland, ME. Staying true to his New England roots, he attended Emmanuel College in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston where he earned a B.S. in chemistry while double majoring in psychology. He's happy to have crossed the Charles River and join the Tufts chemistry community!

Courtney Chiu, '16

Courtney was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is a sophomore majoring in biochemistry and art history at Tufts. She is on the Tufts Ski Team and Art History Society. Besides skiing, she enjoys golfing, crafting, archery, photography, and going to concerts. For the Spring 2015 semester, she is studying abroad in Germany.
