                        The College Corridor
	 
One is not unmindful of the historic and academic importance of
delibrations that take place in the corridor outside the staff room and
the college office, with leading lights regally enthroned on window sills
holding forth with feverish insight to the rapturous thronging crowd on:
The effects on the Indian Constitution of the Great Haze over Malaysia,
The mating habits of the tse-tse fly, Ladies Res ke peeche kya hai?, The
science block: Myth or reality?
 
Yet there are some feeble minded spoil sports who continue to hold the
antiquated view that corridors are meant to be passageways to facilitate
movement and that animated discussions on 'Why is Abhay Gangadharan' and
'Who is Anil Wilson' are likely to break into the soporific reverie of
those sitting inside those classrooms unimaginatively situated by the side
of the corridor.
 
Given the Stephanian respect for the feeble minded (how else could there
be so many in so small a place), please bear with the antiquated view of
the uses of the corridor and take your seminars/symposia elsewhere or else
there could be a new topic to discuss: Yeh Principal ko gussa kyon aata
hai? In more complex language(for the INTELL types) PLEASE DO NOT MILL
AROUND IN THE CORRIDOR, OR ELSE
