Professor Gregory Botsaris at the Symposium in his honor, May 2005
The creation of the Gregory Botsaris Lectureship was announced at the Department's Symposium and Alumni Dinner on May 7, 2005, held in celebration of Professor Botsaris' 75th birthday. Throughout his career at Tufts, Professor Botsaris has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to the Department. He retired from teaching in December 2004 but remains active as a research professor. The lectureship was announced as a surprise gift in recognition of his outstanding leadership and dedication to the Department. Since then, colleagues, friends, alumni and faculty members have stepped forward to contribute to the lectureship fund, which will provide for distinguished speakers to visit the Tufts campus.
