Tufts Hosts Meeting of New England Chemical Engineering Department Chairs
In collaboration with the AIChE, Tufts Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering recently hosted two meetings of New England department chairs from 13 universities and senior executives from local industry. The meetings were organized by Professor Christos Georgakis, who serves as the university coordinator and industrial liaison for the Boston AIChE section. The purpose of the meetings was to strengthen cooperative relationships among universities and between universities and industry. The initiative has been deemed a success by the participants, and the next collaborative meeting is scheduled to take place in the fall of 2006.
