Department Announces Two New Fundraising Initiatives

Professor Martin V. Sussman Memorial Scholarship
The Department recently announced the establishment of an undergraduate research scholarship for deserving seniors, named in honor of Professor Martin V. Sussman who passed away in April. Professor Gregory Botsaris Lectureship
Professor Gregory Botsaris has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to the Department. He retired from teaching in December 2004 but remains active as a research professor. The Department recently celebrated his 75th birthday with a Symposium and Alumni Dinner on May 7, and surprised Professor Botsaris with the announcement of a lectureship fund in his name. The Lectureship will allow the Department to invite one distinguished speaker to the Tufts campus every year.

Several of the Department's faculty, friends and alumni have already stepped forward to contribute to these two fundraising initiatives and demonstrated that they are truly friends to the Department. We are extremely grateful for their kindness and generosity.
