Department Celebrates the Class of 2005

On May 21, the Department hosted a special luncheon to celebrate its graduating seniors. Seniors and their families were invited to join department faculty and staff for a catered buffet lunch followed by an awards ceremony. The event provided a unique opportunity to recognize the diverse accomplishments of the class of 2005 on the eve of graduation. The Department is especially proud of its six seniors who earned Summa Cum Laude honors. Meredith Kolpak, Lisa Schupmann, Ying Hao Lai, Zaid Al-Hinai, Scott West, and Joseph Bornstein were presented with certificates for Academic Excellence to recognize this accomplishment.

Students were also honored with a variety of other departmental awards, among them Outstanding Achievements in Research Activities, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship.
