Graduate Education: Research
The department’s main focus for graduate education is research. The critical
thinking and analytical skills required for graduate research, posed in the
context of a research project, present perhaps the best backdrop to improve the
intellectual skills of a student. In addition, emphasis on leadership,
commitment, and vision (Professional Development), coupled with the
research themes of the department, aim to prepare our students for advanced and
emerging positions in academia or industry.
The department fosters communication and collaboration with neighboring laboratories.
