Postdoctoral Fellowships
Application Deadline is February 1, 2018
CHAT invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship, beginning September 1, 2018. The fellow will take a leading role in a research seminar on themes in Comparative Global Humanities, a project that reconceives humanities and social science knowledge in relation to histories of global relation, contradiction, convergence, and exchange.

We seek a junior scholar whose research investigates the impact and transformation of settler colonialism, racial capitalism, and empire, in relation to cultural practices and communities. We are interested in work that crosses national and disciplinary boundaries to reconceive the objects, methods, material culture and archives for research. The area of specialization is open and may involve one or more of the following disciplines: anthropology, history, comparative literature, religion, art history and architecture, material and visual culture, critical theory, or other humanities fields. A Ph.D. is required, in any of the fields mentioned in the position description. Applications, consisting of a CV, a 2500-word research description, and three letters of recommendation, should be submitted electronically by February 1, 2018.

CHAT will announce Faculty Fellowships and Dissertation Fellowships in the Spring 2018.
