Faculty Fellows: Fellowship
Application Information
Announcing Three Faculty Fellowships Three $3000 research awards will be presented for the 2009-10 academic year to
Humanities faculty whose scholarly or creative work serves as a focus for humanistic
scholarship and artistic creation in the School of Arts and Sciences across the
Tufts campus.
We particularly welcome applications from faculty whose work is interdisciplinary,
interdepartmental, and/or fosters cross-campus dialogue.
Fellows will be given an office at CHAT (48 Professors Row) throughout the academic
year. CHAT will provide a phone and office support (fax, photocopying etc.).
The Fellow will present a paper on his or her work and attend round-table discussions
of other Fellows' papers throughout the year. The Fellow will participate
fully in all the activities of the Center.
Eligibility: Tenure track and tenured faculty
Application: Please submit the following:
- An application letter, which includes a personal statement (500 words maximum)
outlining the project and, if possible, how it is appropriate to the CHAT theme.
The theme for 2009-2010 is "The Humanities and the Body"

Deadline: Deadline for applications is Friday, April 3, 2009
PLEASE NOTE: Applications from untenured faculty members must be accompanied
by a letter of support from the applicant's Chair.
