Degree & Non-Degree Programs:
Post-Professional Master's Program
- The Post-Professional Masters degree is designed for practicing clinicians
with a bachelors degree in OT. This degree is designed to increase knowledge base
in areas such as: administration and management, aging, education, mental health,
childhood and adolescence, and upper extremity function and rehabilitation.
Students may also choose the self-directed concentration focused on their individual
interests. This program can be completed on a Full or Part time basis.
Students have the option of completing the degree without a thesis where students
receive a Master of Science in Occupational therapy (M.S. in OT) or with a thesis
where students receive a Master of Arts (M.A) or Master of Science (M.S) with a
thesis requirement, for students interested in a research oriented academic degree.
- Non-thesis option for post professionals: If desired, non-thesis students
may take two elective classroom courses in the department in addition to the
sixteen required courses.
(10 total credits required).
- Thesis option for post professionals: Students must take two research
and thesis supervision courses to complete the thesis option.
(10 total credits required).
- Eligibility: Registered occupational therapists or candidates eligible for registration.
- Pre-requisites: One course in introductory statistics. The prerequisite course
must be passed with a grade of B- or better and taken at an accredited college.
