Tufts Students Receive Presidential Awards
The annual Rob Hollister Award for Community Service and Citizenship, named in honor of the dean of Tisch
College, was awarded in April 2007.
Several students received special honors, in BSOTs 88th Year.

Greene Award for leadership and we are proud to acknowledge special recognition of The OT Gulf Support Core Groups for the Rob Hollister Award for Community Service and Citizenship. Annual event celebrates A&S authors
The Arts & Sciences Dean's Office hosted its annual book party on March 15,
2007 to celebrate faculty who recently published books. Faculty and their books featured at the event included Sharon Ray, lecturer in occupational therapy,
and Sharan L. Schwartzberg, professor of occupational therapy.

Tufts Students are involved in a project teaching 4th and 5th graders at an elementary school in Arlington
Fourth-graders at the Dallin Elementary School led the march of machines after spending the morning building and programming robots.
With the help of Tufts University graduate students, the fourth-grade class designed floats on March 30 to represent the 50 states, used Lego parts and installed a control panel to put a parade in motion in front of the Florence Avenue school.

Tufts Students Support Katrina OTs (March 2007)
As the waves of volunteers that descended on New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina dwindle with time, graduate students at Tufts University are working to highlight the need for long-term support to rebuild the city. In January 2007, 16 students went to New Orleans to continue clean-up efforts and work with local occupational therapy practitioners.

OT Students Return to New Orleans (December 2006)
Sixteen occupational therapy students from Tufts recently traveled to New Orleans, including seven who went there a year ago after Hurricane Katrina hit, to learn how their profession plays an important role in helping people recover from disaster. They found the mood of local residents tired yet hopeful.

The Tufts University Boston School of Occupational Therapy (BSOT) Granted Full Reaccredidation
(May 2005)
The Tufts University Boston School of Occupational Therapy's (BSOT) professional entry-level occupational therapy master's degree program has been granted full accreditation for the next ten years by the American Occupational Therapy Association's (AOTA) Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. The Tufts-BSOT, a program offered through the university's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, received high marks on all accreditation areas. Some of the areas the evaluation report covered included: academic resources, the curriculum, operational policies, and fieldwork education.
