Lecturer
Dr. Leavis is associate professor of physiology at Tufts' medical, dental,
and veterinary schools and at the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical
Sciences. He teaches courses in physiology and exercise physiology. His research
interests include the biochemistry of muscle contraction and its regulation and
he has published numerous articles on this topic. He is a member of the Basic
Science Council of the American Heart Association, the Biophysical Society, the
New York Academy of Sciences, and the American Society for Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology.
