  • The Tufts University Biomedical Engineering Club (TUBEC) is a student organization that helps its members pursue their interests in the biomedical field. TUBEC provides its members with both academic and social opportunities. Club members have access to many biomedical related events, national design competitions, career information and corporate contacts.
     
  • The BioSpace.com is a specialized provider of web-based products and information services to the life sciences. The first thing that pops up entering the site is a snapshot of the daily major business activities in the biotech industry, including stock quote, results of clinical trials, new collaborations, mergers and acquisitions. It also offers a complete list of biotech companies divided by name, location, region, and phone code. Very important for job seeker is the job directory where the search can be performed according to different criteria: by name, location, and region.
     
  • The GSAS Harvard Biotechnology Club is a non-profit student organization that hosts events and provides services that allow members to explore the world of business and biotech nology. The Biotech Club's mission is to bridge the gap between industry and academia by building relationships with companies operating in the biotechnology and healthcare sphere.

    The club organizes interesting events such as the Entrepreneur Lecture Series where a biotech CEO is invited to talk on issues related directly to entrepreneurship and starting companies.

    Join the club (membership is free) and you will receive a weekly bulletin that lists events sponsored by the club or other biotech-related organizations, new job-postings, summary of interesting articles
     
  • BioWorld on line offers information about companies, jobs, stocks, patents and events. It also posts BioWorld snapshots, a daily update on IPOs, Public Offerings, Private Offerings, Mergers & Acquisitions, Biotech/Pharma Collaborations, Biotech/Biotech Collaborations, Products on the Market, and Biotech Market Capitalization. BioWorld Financial Watch lists news concerning collaborations, public and private financings, clinical trials and FDA submissions, stock market activity, and venture capital portfolio performances. Some services require a fee and/or subscription.
     
  • Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology (WEST) is a non-profit organization focused mostly on women but open to anybody with a background in science and technology. Its mission is to help women trained in science and technology to explore their strengths and passions using an entrepreneurial mindset and to empower them to pursue their dreams by building a community that provides information, education, and networking opportunities. WEST events include a variety of topics, such as inviting investors or entrepreneurs, covering business related topic or networking evenings.
