Biotechnology

Biotechnology has applications in a number of diverse fields, including gene therapy, protein and tissue engineering, and bioremediation and bioremediation.

Second Major in Biotechnology
This program is offered as a major only in conjunction with enrollment in a regular undergraduate major, ordinarily excluding interdisciplinary programs.

Core Curriculum

  • Biology 1, 13, 41 and 62
  • One lab course from Biology 50, Chemical and Biological Engineering 163 or 168

Science track requirements (2 core courses):

  • Biology 105, 152 or 171

Four electives from:

  • Biology 103, 104, 106, 153, 177, 184
  • Chemical and Biological Engineering 160, 161, 164, 166, 169A/B
  • or Chemistry 135
