| Welcome to The Romero Lab. Although decades
of research have helped us understand how stress causes
disease, we are focused in understanding how the vertebrate
stress response helps wild animals survive in their natural
habitats. We are then using this knowledge to help us
understand how animals cope with natural and human-created
changes in their habitats. Work in our lab is at the
interface between Ecology, Physiology, and Endocrinology,
with occasional applications to Conservation.
