  • An online database of animal natural history, distribution, classification and conservation biology from the University of Michigan.

Department of Systematic Biology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution

  • Databases, programs, and bibliographies in Natural History.

The Envirolink Network

  • A clearinghouse of all environmental information available on the Internet and a complete list of  businesses on the Internet that have passed a stringent screening process of their social responsibility.

Google Scholar

  • Searches the web for scholarly material
  • Use the "Get this item at Tufts" link to get full text access to Tufts subscribed journal articles.
  • In Google Scholar Preferences in Library Links, type in Tufts and click on Save Preferences to include direct access to Tisch Library's resources.

Iowa State Entomology Index

  • A directory and search engine of insect related resources on the web.

Librarian's Index to the Internet: Science

  • An academic directory and search engine developed by librarian's. All sites are reviewed and analyzed by Library of Congress Subject Headings.

NBII: National Biological Information Infrastructure

  • A government sponsored collaborative program that provides access to biological data and information on the United States biological resources.

Science.gov: Biology & Nature

Scirus

  • A search engine that searches the web for scientific information, science journals and science oriented web sites.
