Biological Abstracts defaults to the Advanced Mode (Keyword) search. To search an author, title, or journal, click on the icons at the top of the Keyword search screen. Limit the search by type of organism, year, latest update, or document type by choosing one of the boxes below the search window. Limit a search set by clicking on the Limit button at the top of the advanced mode search screen. A list of limiters to choose from will appear below the Search History screen. Combine one or more searches by either choosing the Combine button, or combining the set numbers, e.g. (1 and 2) not 3, etc. Search a topic or keyword within one or more Search Fields by clicking on the Search Fields button, then select preferred field.
