This year's Tufts Ballroom Competition will be Sunday, December 4th. Mark your calendars!
More information soon!
Welcome back to the hill, dancers! Tufts Ballroom is very excited to begin a new year of learning, competition and fun. As with each new year, we also look forward to new aspiring ballroom stars to grace Tufts campus with their dazzling style.
If you want to learn a bit more, our General Interest Meeting is Thursday, September 15 at 9 PM in the Sophia Gordon Multi-Purpose Room. Bring your hallmates, friends, RA... no experience is necessary! We will go over what it means to be a Tufts Ballroom member as well as giving an introductory lesson. We hope to see you there!
After a heated competition between a tremendous number of well-qualified candidates, the results are in, and they are looking good!Congratulations to everyone!

We can safely say that this has been on wildly successful semester for Tufts Ballroom. A new generation of dancers were welcomed to the team, all of whom show incredible skill and promise for the years to come. We saw the return of our winter competition, hard-fought-for and well-organized by our competition coordinator. We even saw our most experienced ballroom dancing pair win accolades for their performances at collegiate and national-level competitions.
So, best of luck to all with the end of school! Have a happy, healthy (and dancing-filled) holiday, we can't wait to see what the next semester has in store!
Hair & Make-up Tutorial: Girls, this will be held at 9pm on Wednesday in Hill Hall Lounge. It is optional, but we strongly recommend that you come to learn how to do your hair and make-up, even if you're not competing in Harvard Beginners. This will carry over to every competition, so it's better that you learn it now than struggle with it later!
Mock Competition: 9pm, Friday, Hill Hall Aerobics Room. If you are a newcomer competing in Harvard Beginners, you must attend Mock Competition. This is a great chance for first-time competitors to get feel for how a competition is run (e.g. entering the floor, dancing under a confined time, navigating the floor, preparing your competition outfit.) Those of you who are not competing are more than welcome (and encouraged) to come; it'll be a good experience to get a feel for competitions to come.
Advice: Relax, and get excited. By the time the competition arrives, you will be ready. It's about fun and getting the feel for things your first time around. Enjoy it!
For more information see the 'Competition' tab on the left.

Well, this has certainly been a long time coming. Hello all, welcome to the new and improved Tufts Ballroom Website. Unlike previous versions of the website, I will be updating this regularly.
On the left, you will see a column of links that will take you to all the neat places that the ballroom website has so far. Some of it is still under construction but I will build on it as the year goes.
You'll notice that the calendar has yet to be updated, but I promise as I learn the times for lessons and other ballroom events, I'll post them to the calendar right away.
So as the year progresses, I'm sure the image gallery and video section will expand.
We'll improve upon the competition section which is pretty empty so far.
It was a complicated process and a long road to finally get to work on the site, and I worked on it as much as I possibly could during this past summer.
So, welcome to the website. I hope you enjoy it. I will be working on improving it and adding new features all semster long!
It's finally done guys!
P.S.: It's quite late right now, but I will be adding another post tomorrow asking you guys for your contributions and explaining some ideas I have.
