MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Julia Bergofsky fed Kristen Behr on a three-on-two breakaway goal in overtime as Middlebury edged Tufts in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action today, 2-1.

Tufts gained an early 1-0 lead at 31:29 on a Lindsay Lionetti (Stamford, CT) goal off a pass from Amy Polverini (Longmeadow, MA), but that was all the Jumbos would get. Middlebury tied the contest at 19:00 of the second half on a drive by Missy Krempa past goalkeeper Dena Sloan (Millburn, NJ). The game stayed tied for the remainder of regulation.

Becca Randall was stellar in goal for the Panthers, stopping ten shots overall, including two in overtime. Sloan stopped three shots for the Jumbos.
