RUSSO, SCHOLTES SELECTED FOR NFHCA SENIOR
ALL-STAR GAME

MEDFORD
-- Co-captains Amanda Russo (Garden City, NY) and Margi
Scholtes (Grosse Pointe, MI) of the 2009 Tufts University Field
Hockey team have been selected to play in this year's National Field
Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior All-Star
Game. This year's game is scheduled to be played on Sunday, November
22 at Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA). Game time is 9:30
am.
Thirty-eight players overall were announced as 2009 NFHCA Division
III Senior All-Stars. Russo and Scholtes are two of just three New
England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) players named to
play in the game.
Russo is currently second on the Tufts team and fourth in the NESCAC
with 26 points on 11 goals and four assists. Scholtes, an NFHCA
First Team All-American and the conference's Defensive Player of the
Year last season, has four goals with one assist for nine points in
addition to her continued defensive presence this fall.
Coach Tina McDavitt's Jumbos are 12-1 overall entering their final
game of the regular-season today at Bowdoin.
