PANZER PACES ALL-STAR SQUAD TO VICTORY
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Dana Panzer (Sayville, NY/Sayville) of Tufts University scored two unassisted second-half goals to lead the North Squad to a 3-1 victory over the South Squad in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2004 Division III Senior All-Star game at Westfield State College on Saturday.
Panzer snapped a 1-1 tie with a goal three minutes into the second half. She tallied another goal off a rebound with six minutes remaining.
Ashley Perez of Clark University in Worcester, Mass., opened the scoring with 4:30 remaining in the first half to give the North a 1-0 lead. Assisting on the goal was Brooke Aldrich of Ithaca, N.Y., College. The South's Joyce Anne Koubarloulis of Ursinus, Pa., tied the score with 1:05 remaining in the first half.
The game concluded a spectacular season of scoring for Panzer. She set the Tufts single-season record with 33 points on 12 goals and nine assists.
