Sophomore Bryn Kass ran second for the

BOSTON -- Junior Amy Wilfert (Westborough, MA) continued
her outstanding cross country season by finishing 11th at the 2009
New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEIAAA)
Cross Country Championship held at Franklin Park in Boston on
Saturday.
Wilfert ran 18:18 and was the second Division III finisher at the
race, behind only MIT's Jacqui Wentz (18:06 for third place). Narrowly
edged out of the top 10 this year, Wilfert was 21st in the race last
season. This year she led the Tufts team to a 22nd place finish overall
out of 49 teams. The top five Jumbo finishes added up to 680 overall.
The NEIAAA's feature Division I, II and III teams. Brown University
won the team title with a 130 score. Corey Conner from Maine took the
individual title with a 17:36 finish.
Sophomore Bryn Kass (Santa Barbara, CA) continued to firmly
establish herself as the team's #2, finishing 115th overall in 19:37.
The third Jumbo finisher on Saturday was sophomore Anya Price
(Natick, MA), whose 20:05 time was 171st.
The fourth and fifth scorers for Tufts were junior Jen Yih (Palo
Alto, CA) and sophomore Kelsey Picciuto (Cornwall, NY) with
20:14 (176th) and 20:42 (207th) times, respectively.
The Jumbos run at Williams College next Saturday.
