HARTFORD -- Senior forward Jen Baldwin (Medway, MA) scored with five minutes remaining in the first half to give the visiting Tufts University Jumbos a lead they would never relinquish en route to a 3-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afternoon.

The Jumbos are hitting their stride after a slow start. Head coach Martha Whiting's team improves to 5-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the league with their third straight win. It is their fourth conference win in a row and they are unbeaten in their last five conference games. Trinity drops to 5-4-1 overall and 2-4 in the NESCAC with its second loss in a row.

Freshman Lauren Fedore (East Lansing, MI) scored the second goal of the game for the Jumbos at the 56:53 minute mark of the game, while junior Sarah Callaghan (Northborough, MA) assisted on each of the first two goals in the winning effort. Freshman Martha Furtek (East Falmouth, MA) gave her team an extra insurance goal with just over 10 minutes left in the game.

Senior goalkeeper Meg McCourt (Rochester, NY) made six saves for Tufts while Trinity senior captain goalie Brenna Shields (Cutchogue, NY) made eight saves in the loss.
