MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Brittany Cronin led the Middlebury College Panthers to their third victory of the season with a 3-0 shutout over Tufts in NESCAC women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. Cronin's two goals were her fourth and fifth of the week after scoring three against Norwich on Wednesday.

Cronin opened the scoring at 19:39 when she broke away and beat the goalkeeper for a 1-0 lead. At 20:20, less than a minute later, Erin Pittenger sent a header across the center to Cronin who converted the pass for the 2-0 lead.
Mayo Fujii ended the scoring for Middlebury with a goal at 66:51.

Els Van Woert made eight saves in goal to give the Panthers their second shutout of the week. Senior Meg McCourt (Rochester, NY) and Annie Ross (Newton, MA) combined for seven stops for Tufts.
