NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Junior forward Lynn Cooper (Wilton, CT) scored the game's only goal 21 minutes into the first half to lift Tufts University to a 1-0 win over Connecticut College in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer this afternoon at Connecticut College.

Returning to action after missing the last two games, Cooper's goal helped the Jumbos improve their record to 3-1 and 2-1 in league play. Connecticut College fell to 1-3.

The Tufts defense limited Connecticut College to six shots to help senior goalie Randee McArdle (East Nassau, NY) record her third shutout of the season. She now has 18 in her career, two shy of tying the Tufts record of 20 set by Ellen Corliss from 1981-84.
