WORCESTER, Mass. -- Sophomore Lynn Cooper (Wilton, CT/Wilton) scored twice and graduate student Jeanne Kehrberger (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) added a goal and an assist as the Tufts Jumbos rolled over the WPI Engineers, 5-0, in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.

Kehrberger assisted Cooper on the game's first goal at 16:09, then almost exactly two minutes later Cooper returned the favor with an assist to Kehrberger for a 2-0 Tufts lead at 18:08. Tufts junior tri-captain Randee McArdle (East Nassau, NY/New Lebanon) was called on to make six of her seven saves overall in the first half as the Engineers earned some decent chances.

Senior Amanda Nagler (Beverly Hills, CA/Brentwood) tallied her first of the season early in the second half with an assist (and first college point) from freshman Adi Sherwood (Woodinville, WA/Bothell). Cooper, who netted 10 goals a year ago, scored her second of the game and senior Sarah Stevens (Winchester, MA/Winchester) closed the scoring with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Tufts (2-0) opens its home schedule with a tough contest against New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Connecticut College on Saturday (Sept. 18) at noon. The Jumbos and Camels both advanced to the NCAA national quarterfinals last fall.
