WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior center Sarah Walsh (Catonsville, MD) finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and four steals in lifting the Mules to a 73-50 New England Small College Athletic Conference win over Tufts University at Wadsworth Gymnasium on Saturday.
Bianca Belcher (Lewiston, ME) had 14 points and six assists for the Mules (16-5, 6-2 NESCAC). Wendy Bonner (Lexington, MA) added 12 points and six rebounds in just 14 minutes of action. Sarah Kelly (Portsmouth, NH) had four points, four rebounds and five assists for Colby. The Mules shot 54 percent in the first half in taking a 43-26 lead at the break.
Tufts (15-5, 3-4) got 10 points apiece from Allison Love (Duxbury/Duxbury, MA) and Jessica Powers (Massapequa. NY). It was the second loss in a row for the Jumbos, who fell below .500 in NESCAC to 3-4.
