Wellesley, which won its second straight and improved to 6-4, led 29-25 at the half and outscored Tufts, 38-18, in the second half. The Jumbos, who were led by 20 points from junior Erin Harrington (Fall River, MA), lost their second in a row and fell to 5-4 overall.

Wellesley, on the other hand, was a hot 12 for 23 in the second half (52.5%) to finish at 44.0 (22/50). The visitors also posted a 42-34 advantage on the boards and a 19-6 margin at the free throw line.
After Wellesley bolted to an 8-0 lead, the first half was more tightly contested. The Jumbos surged to an 18-17 advantage on a jumper by senior Katie Kehrberger (Waldwick, NJ). After Wellesley responded with a layup by freshman Bridget Harris (Newbury Park, CA) at 5:25, they never trailed again.
