Race Results

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Running their second seven, as is tradition at this race, the Tufts men's cross country team placed 10th out of 37 schools competing at the 2007 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship hosted by Williams College.

On an eight-kilometer course at Mount Greylock High School, the Jumbos were led by freshman Jerzy Eisenberg-Guyot (Brookline, MA), who had a finishing time of 27 minutes, 38 seconds for 36th place overall. The Jumbos also got a top 50 performance (265 runners overall) from freshman Jeff Ragazzini (Wilton, CT) in 48th place at 27:51.

Senior Matt Alander (Hamden, CT) scored third for Tufts, running 60th overall with a 28:06 time. In 70th place overall came sophomore Ryan Lena (Orono, ME) by crossing the finish line in 28:15. The fifth and final Tufts scorer was Andrew Bellet (Wynnewood, PA) in 86th place (28:34).

Tufts' score of 286 was firmly entrenched in 10th place. Host Williams College won the ECAC title with 45 points. Wayne Hooper from St. Vincent in Pennsylvania won the individual championship with a 26:14 time.
