Jesse Faller was the runner-up at the Trinity Invitational to open the 2007 season
 

MANCHESTER, Conn. -- Sophomore Jesse Faller (Burlington, MA) finished in second place to lead Tufts men's cross country to a second-place team finish on Saturday at the Trinity College Invitational.

Faller covered the 5-kilometer course in 16 minutes, 34 seconds to finish 12 seconds behind winner Hunter Norte of Trinity (16:22). The Tufts team accumulated 43 points, 21 off first-place Trinity's winning total of 22. Seven teams overall were entered in the race.

Tufts had three runners in the top 10 overall. Senior tri-captain Dave Sorensen (Dover, MA) was sixth in 16:55 and sophomore Nick Welch (Seattle, WA) took seventh in 17:04.

Making their debuts for the Jumbos and scoring were freshmen Greg Pallotta (Syracuse, NY) and Jeff Ragazzini (Wilton, CT), who were 13th (17:12) and 15th (17:19) respectively.
