Meet Results

GRAFTON -- For the fourth weekend in a row the Tufts Men's Cross Country team came in second in their meet, this week finishing second out of four teams at the Jumbo Invitational hosted by Tufts at the Grafton Campus.  Tufts had 42 points to finish behind first-place Keene State's 28 points.

Junior All-American Nate Brigham (Penacook, NH) led the way for the Jumbos, finishing fourth overall in 26:22 on the 8K course.  Kyle Doran (North Attleborough, MA) finished right behind him in fifth place (26:30) for the Jumbos.  Rounding out the scorers for Tufts were Neil Orfield (Burnsville, MN) who finished in 26:52 for tenth place, Peter Bromka (Portland, OR) who finished in 26:58 for 11th place, and Matt Lacey (Amherst, MA) who finished in 26:59 for 12th place.

The Jumbos, who are ranked 13th nationally according to the September 23 Division III Poll, expected a tough race from Keene State, who were ranked sixth in that poll.  Tufts will get another crack at them this weekend at the Keene Staet Invitational on Saturday, October 4.
