Race Results

NORTH DARTMOUTH -- The Tufts Men's Cross Country team competed in their third race of the season at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational in Dartmouth, Mass. on Saturday.  The Jumbos finished in seventh place in a field of 31.

First place finisher for Tufts was junior Peter Bromka (Portland, OR) who completed the course in 26:24 and placed 22nd overall.  Not far behind was freshman Mike Cummings (Cheshire, CT), who clocked in at 26:32 to capture 25th place. Freshman Adam Sharp (Alexandria, NH), junior Ian Joseph (Lexington, MA), and junior Peter Jurczynski (Schenectady, NY) finished 34th (26:44), 47th (27:01), and 61st (27:20), respectively, to round out the top five for the Jumbos.

Coast Guard took the meet championship with a team score of 62. Accumulating a team score of 188, Tufts finished 29 points behind sixth-place Keene State and 35 points behind fifth-place Stonehill. The other finishers for the Jumbos were junior Zach Chrisco (Brattleboro, VT) who finished in 27:26, and junior James Lamoureux (Springfield, MA) who clocked in at 27:46.

The team's next meet is the Jumbo Invitational at Grafton, Mass. on September 28.
