MEDFORD -- The Tufts Men's Cross Country team competed in the NESCAC Championship Race this past Saturday at their home course in Grafton, Mass. On the cold and breezy race day, the Jumbos placed fifth out of the 11 teams in the conference. Scoring 123 points, the Tufts finished behind Bowdoin College, Williams College, Bates College, and only one point behind Connecticut College, to round out the top five teams. Bowdoin won its second straight team title, while Trinity's Ryan Bak was the individual winner for the second straight year.
Sophomore Nate Brigham (Penacook, NH) was once again the top Tufts finisher, coming in at 26:14.81 for a 12th place finish out of the field of 115 runners. Junior Peter Bromka (Portland, OR) crossed the line at 26:34:18 for 20th place, while classmate Pete Jurczynski (Schenectady, NY) finished four spots behind at 26:43.64. Sophomore Michael Don (Clayton, MO), who missed the earlier part of season due to injury, came out to take the fourth spot for the Jumbos with a time of 26:54.38. Completing the top five for Tufts was freshman Neil Orfield (Burnsville, MN) who clocked in at 27:06.51 for 35th place.

Doran (North Attleboro, MA) finished together in 27:17.04 and 27:17.46 for
42nd and 43rd places, respectively. The

Kaye (Los Altos, CA) in 28:32.28, and senior Adam
Sharp (Alexandria, NH) in 28:35.21.

The team will next compete at the ECAC Championships at Williams College,
followed by the NCAA Qualifier at Westfield State on November 16.
