OXFORD, Oh. -- Sophomore diver Rob Matera (Trumbull, CT), the lone NCAA Championships qualifier for the Tufts men's swimming & diving team, represented the Jumbos well by finishing 14th in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the national meet hosted at Miami University in Ohio. The performances scored six points for Tufts, tying for 46th place at the competition.

With the ninth through 16th finishers at the meet earning All-America honorable mention recognition, Matera earned the first two national honors of his career. He is a two-time All-Conference performer.

Competing among 22 divers in each event, he received a score of 381.90 for his 11-dive program in the 1-meter finals on Thursday. On Saturday in the 3-meter event, he scored a 413.55 total.
