The twelfth annual Jumbo Winter Baseball Clinic will be held this
year from Dec. 28-31. The clinic will be taught by the Tufts
University baseball staff along with current players and some former
and current professional baseball players. The clinic is designed to
meet the needs of players of all abilities. The sessions will focus
on fundamentals and the latest skill development techniques for high
school age campers who wish to continue his/her baseball experience
into college. The last day of camp will feature a showcase day for
evaluations by the Tufts staff. Each player will be mailed a copy of
the evaluation for their use. Evaluation will cover basic skill
sets; hitting, fielding, pitching arm strength, 60 time, etc. Other
college coaches will be in attendance on the last day to evaluate
prospects. Players will participate in college level practices &
game preparation, over 11 current Jumbo players attended the clinic.
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES TO SHOWCASE THEIR
ABILITY AND GET A JUMP ON THEIR SEASON. THE TUFTS STAFF HAS OVER 90
YEARS OF COACHING EXPERIENCE AND BELIEVES STRONGLY IN INDIVIDUALIZED
INSTRUCTION. THEY CAN ALSO BE A GREAT RESOURCE IN THE COLLEGE
RECRUITING PROCESS.
