Armed and Ready For three seasons, Tufts University quarterback Tom McManama filled the back-up role for the Jumbos with a positive attitude. He saw action in eight games during his first three seasons, but his primary contribution to the team was the effort that he gave on a daily basis despite a lack of playing time. McManama was prepared to do the same again this fall, until starter Anthony Fucillo went down with an injury in the preseason. McManama is now the starting quarterback, making the most of a chance that at times he didn't think he'd ever get. Although it involves an injury to a teammate, McManama's well-deserved opportunity is something that the Tufts University Athletics Website wants to put > In Focus.
