PROVIDENCE -- The 13th ranked Tufts co-ed sailing team was 11th overall at the 18-team Sherman Hoyt Trophy hosted by Brown University over the weekend.

The Tufts A division boat was skippered by senior Tomas Hornos (Swampscott, MA). Classmate Rachael Brill (Scottsdale, AZ) was his crew for the first through sixth races, and again for the ninth through 14th. When the wind picked up, freshman crew Max Bulger (Brookline, MA) took over for the seventh and eighth races. The A boat placed 14th with a 160 score after 14 races. Their best was a third-place in the 11th race.

In B Division, senior co-captain Jennifer Watkins (Edina, MN) and junior Catherine Swanson (Charleston, SC) split up the crew duties for senior co-captain and skipper Andrew Criezis (Evanston, IL). They were ninth in the division with a total of 129. Criezis and Watkins, who crewed 10 of the 14 races, won the fourth race.

The Jumbos are at MIT next weekend to sail for the Erwin Schell Trophy.
