NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Tufts co-ed sailing team was 15th out of 20 teams at the season-opening Harry Anderson Trophy hosted by Yale University on Saturday and Sunday.

The Jumbos were 18th in the A Division competition with senior skipper Andrew Criezis (Evanston, IL) and senior crew Jennifer Watkins (Edina, MN) in the boat. They totaled 169 points in 12 races, with a sixth place in the fifth race as their best finish.

The B Division team of sophomore Massimo Soriano (New York, NY) as skipper and classmate Emily Shaw (Cazenovia, NY) as crew placed 14th with a score of 127. They had two sixth place races among the 12.

The Tufts final score of 296 was six behind Dartmouth. Host Yale won the regatta with a 143 score.
