JACKIE THOMAS LANDS THIRD-TEAM ALL-AMERICAN HONORS IN WOMEN'S
LACROSSE
MEDFORD -- Senior defender Jackie Thomas (Needham, MA/Needham)
capped her Tufts University lacrosse career by earning Third Team
All-American honors from Inside Lacrosse this season.
A First Team All-Regional pick, Thomas was named an
All-American for the first time and is the first Jumbo to be
recognized nationally in two years.
Thomas led head coach Carol Rappoli's team with 45
ground balls, 23 draw controls and 36 caused turnovers, while also
contributing four goals and five assists offensively. Her speed in
transition was also a key component to a Tufts offense that ranked
fourth in NESCAC with 12.86 goals per game.
The Jumbos finished 7-7 overall and 3-6 in the New England Small
College Athletic Conference, just missing out on a conference
tournament berth.
