PEACH NAMED TO ALL-NEW ENGLAND SECOND TEAM IN LACROSSE

MEDFORD – After a superb senior season for the Tufts University team, Lauren Peach (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-New England second team recently.

Peach did a little bit of everything for the Jumbos in 2004. She led the team with 53 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers. Her defense helped the team post an 8.71 goals against average despite an inexperienced goalkeeper. On offense, Peach scored eight goals and eight assists for 16 points (sixth on the team). She is a four-year starter for the Jumbos and finished her career with 30 goals and 25 assists for 55 points in 55 games.

Peach was named to the All-England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) second team earlier this spring. She had five goals and five assists for 10 points in nine NESCAC games. Peach was a team tri-captain.

Tufts finished 7-7 overall and 3-6 in the conference for seventh place. Head Coach Carol Rappoli's Jumbos spent some time in the national top 20.
