MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Tufts University ended Wesleyan's seven-game unbeaten streak as senior Mike Guigli (North Stonington, CT) floated a ball intended to be a cross into the Wesleyan net from 35 yards out in the first half and junior Mattia Chason (Rome, ITALY) upped his team-leading scoring with his eighth goal on a break away with 10 minutes to play for a 2-0 Jumbos win in NESCAC men's soccer action.

With the win, Tufts (5-6-2, 4-4 NESCAC) is still alive to earn a fourth-place finish in the conference and host a first-round NESCAC Tournament game on Sunday. The Jumbos face a must-win match at Connecticut College on Saturday. Wesleyan (6-3-3, 3-3-2 NESCAC) is also alive in the home field hunt and play at Bowdoin on Saturday.

Tufts freshman goalie Brian Dulmovits (Sayville, NY) logged his fourth shutout of the season against Wesleyan with five saves. The contest was played on a
very sloppy field after it was postponed due to rain on Tuesday. Wesleyan's Jamie Hiteshew made four saves in a losing cause.
