WILLIAMSTOWN -- Despite resting their top 10 runners, the Tufts

School on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Matt Tirrell (Burlington, MA) was the first Jumbo
to finish the 8,000-meter course, doing so in a 27:45.8 time for
29th place overall. The race was run by 296 contestants in total.
Jumbo freshman Dan Kirschner (Short Hills, NJ) made his
presence known with a 36th place finish overall, second for Tufts,
in a 27:53.7 time. Seniors Jason Hanrahan (Westport, CT) and
Billy Hale (Menlo Park, CA) scored third and fourth for Tufts
with 28:18.5 (57th overall) and 28:43.3 (81st) times, respectively.
Freshman Brandon Severson (Calabasas, CA) completed the Jumbo
scoring in 84th place (28:44.6).
Those five Tufts runners' finishes added up to a score of 282 for
the Jumbos. Host Williams College won the ECAC title with an 85
score. Freshman Greg Redfield of Johnson & Wales University won the
