A summer with sharks Growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, Tufts men's basketball tri-captain Tom Selby lived about as far away from the ocean as you can get. Ironically, the ocean - and its inhabitants - would become a great interest of his. After an internship working with penguins at the New England Aquarium, Tom took another internship working with a much more dangerous sea creature last summer. He was in South Africa tagging and studying great white sharks. On the basketball court, Tom lurks under the net awaiting opposing lay-ups, and he has swatted them away well enough to be the sixth-best shot blocker in team history. Now a senior, Tom has made the most of this college years at Tufts. Hear all about his great shark adventure, and more, as the Tufts Athletics Website puts Tom Selby > In Focus.
