Asian American House
Asian American House (Start House), a Small Group Housing Unit under the Office of Residential Life and Learning, offers undergraduates an opportunity to live with others who have a commitment to promoting Asian American issues. Residents are required to coordinate porgrams for the Tufts community that support the experinces of Asians in the U.S. Programs are often co-sponsored with the Asian student organizations, other campus organizations, the Asian American Center, or other Centers and academic departments. Six students reside in two singles and two doubles on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Any Tufts sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in learning about and coordinating programs related to the Asian American experience are eligible to apply to live in the House. The Pan Asian Council (PAC) is a collaborative group of representatives, primarily presidents, of the Asian/Asian American interest and culutre clubs recognized by the Tufts Community Union (TCU) Senate. PAC members meet throughout the year and work to promote unity and collaboration amongst the clubs it represents as well as enhance visibility and awareness of the Asian/Asian American presence on campus. PAC encourages all students to join the Asian/Asian American interest and culture clubs by signing up for membership at the Student Activities Fair or by contacting club officers.
