I
have lived most of my life in Botswana and moved to an America few
years ago. I paint, draw and sculpt realistically from figures, still
life and landscape, but concentrate mostly no landscapes. I work small,
and often work from photographs of people and places I have met and
visited. My artwork elaborates how I see the world, brought forth
by my passion and concern that nature's landscape is being consumed
by artificial landscape. I dwell in landscape; exploring color the
way nature displays it, as a means of adoring and respecting nature.
The bright colors displayed by nature has influenced me, forcing my
attention and mind to be the mediator between canvas and the viewer,
thus showing that nature's beauty still stands. My artwork also is
a way of connecting to my past memories, therefore, I paint and draw
what I enjoy, which am a mirror to reveal how I see and associate
with things. I am not afraid of exploring new things as long as it
comes from within and can be something, which people can relate to.
