Requirements Admission Assistant Professor Monica McTighe is advisor to the art history track of the certificate program. For further information about the Museum Studies Certificate program, see Graduate and Professional Studies . Tufts offers a M.F.A. in conjunction with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Four academic courses are taken at Tufts at the advanced level, and two years of studio work is done at the Museum School. A final thesis exhibition is held at the Tufts Art Gallery. Students must complete the full requirements for both degrees (the course work for the M.A. satisfies the academic component of the M.F.A.) and make separate applications to both programs.
