Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity was founded in 1914 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, by a group of men with Italian roots. While initially founded as a social society, it evolved into one of the most unique of American college fraternities. It has retained its focus on its Italian roots, by attracting select men at some of the best colleges and universities in the United States. A majority of Alpha Phi Delta men and Chapters are campus leaders. Alpha Phi Delta experiences have helped many of its nearly 20,000 lifelong members to become top leaders in all facets of life.

Alpha Phi Delta is one of the fastest growing fraternities in the country. We have chapters from New England to Florida and we are constantly expanding to new areas. We also have alumni groups from coast-to-coast.

Friendship: But, even as we are stretching in new directions across the country and growing in numbers like never before, we still remain one of the tightest knit national fraternities around. Part of the beauty of belonging to a national fraternity, like Alpha Phi Delta, is the prospect of developing long-distance friendships with brothers from other parts of the country. We keep in constant touch with our fellow brothers in other chapters through parties, picnics, meetings and conventions.

Alumni: Many of our alumni serve in the fraternity's governmental system, either on the Executive Board, as regional leaders, or chapter advisors. Our alumni also keep active amongst themselves, through the many alumni clubs located throughout the nation.

Leadership: Alpha Phi Delta has many members involved in various school activities, Greek councils and student leadership. We are always active participants in inter-fraternity events.

Academics: Alpha Phi Delta has an excellent track record: 75% of our members reach graduation -- nearly double the non-fraternity student percentage and 10 percentage points higher than the average of all national fraternities. We offer a scholarship program and awards as incentives and recognition to our members.
