Main
Points of Our Discussion:
- Bilingualism is something
many Latino young adults take pride in, and hope to use their
Spanish skills in the future
- Views on bilingual
education differed between different students, but most agreed
that English immersion was not necessarily a better option
- Preserving Spanish
culture and traditions through language was very important to
these young adults, and most spoke Spanish with their parents.
However, the majority of the students spoke English with their
friends and siblings.
